cad_man User ID: 2888244	Oct 31st 12:14 PM Aside from what Barthbill is asking I have a Honda 2000i and have also owned a Honda 1000i. Both are really good and quite generators. I have also heard great reports on the Yamaha inverter style generators. I would lean more to the Honda, only because I am a Honda Power equipment fan and their reliability is very good. I own several pieces of Honda powered lawn and garden equipment and all have worked well over the last 7 years. cad_man

cad_man User ID: 2888244	Nov 1st 11:30 AM Marti, I would say you should get the 3000 what version of either the Honda or Yamaha. Id you will be powering either a refrigerator or any kind of an electric heater you will need at least 3000 watts to have a safe buffer. cad_man

roy User ID: 9551723	Nov 30th 2:27 AM Hi, I'm running the Honda 2000i and it adequately runs my air, fridge, TV etc. Get a dealer to hook it up to your RV and try the different systems you would be using before you purchase. Roy Australia
Cal User ID: 9607473	Nov 30th 2:00 PM Roy it is a cabin not a RV. Marti You need to figure out what you will need in watts then you can decide on the generator. Yamaha or Honda is the same as Ford or Chevy? Not so important as is the size of load. "I need to provide elec to my cabin. " Is kinda like "how long is a rope?" No-one can give you any useful answers without the needed facts. Hope this gives you something to look at to help you get your answers.

bob User ID: 9279843	Dec 1st 7:34 AM We bought a Generac 5800 for a back up for our home, Briggs overhead valve 10 hP engine with one really quiet muffler system, Super Quiet, The cost was 580.00 ,,, It has a 11 gal fuel tank depending on the load how many hrs you can get, Never a problem with it,,,, Easy start in cold winter weather usually 1-2 nd pull. It has 4 110 volt out lets and 1 220--- We run furnace, water heater, 58 in big screen tv, water pump, ( we live in the country ) Hondas are a super generator no doubt so are the autos we have a 2002 CRV Awsome !!!! Frank User ID: 0456964	Mar 8th 4:04 PM Yamaha gens have a steel sleeved cylinder wall, where Honda just has the cast aluminum. So the Honda will wear out faster, if thats a factor for you. I've had two Honda products in my life and both have given me nothing but trouble.
Barthbill User ID: 8645673	Mar 10th 12:43 AM I would not buy a gen in the 3000 range without listening to the Yam 3200. It seems quieter than its measured figures would indicate.
