we are going to trade in our class C jayco on a Bounder. Problems here to decide this.
We use Ford products since hubby works for them but ONE dealer for Bounder says go the Ford way, another says NO go the Work horse. If that number one dealer is saying Ford, then he is not telling the truth cause workhorse is a better chasis.
Now the bounder itself is the same. But we don't know what to believe. Units are a few thousand difference on price but the workhorse man is now saying he can get us into one for the SAME price as the Ford. hmm
Then a Georgetown dealer wants us, and it is LOTS of money cheaper and what we want also.
What is you guys opinion on the two bounders and a georgetown made by Forest River.
HELP a newbie with class A

The best thing to do is take a extensive test drive with both then decide which you like best.

The biggest advantage that Workhorse has over Ford is the transmission. But that will even up sometime late in 2004 when Ford starts using their new 5 Speed auto.

I own a Workhorse chassis and I am satisfied, but I find nothing wrong with the Ford Chassis.

I agree with cad_man. Test drive each, making sure all things are equal, ie; length, weight, number of sliding rooms, etc. I recommend choosing the make, model, and floorplan you like, then drive both chassis. You may have to travel some, but in the long run, you will be much happier! Don't buy something that you will not love down the road! My next DP will have NO dinette! and cross queen bed. Wife.org likes the table and chairs and closet at the rear and so do I!

I chose a WH, and am glad I did. Some manufacturers only use WH now ie Allegro. I can tell you why to buy a WH in one word. Doghouse!
That low doghouse is soooo nice compared to climbing over the Ford DH. Good luck and enjoy whatever you get.

Saw a post on another forum that implied the doghouses on some newer (Workhorse?) chassis were covered with glued down carpet. I don't find that plausible and maybe somebody can confirm/deny this. Meanwhile, we may want to have whoever the seller is show the engine from the top down. God Bless, jd

my son in law bought a 03 class c 27 ft with a v 10 ford, it has ample power jellico mountain in tenn was chewed up by this mh when they went to fla daytona...
