My boat has a 50 gallon holding tank and I am considering installing a "Groco SweetTank Deodorizing System" in an effort to control holding tank odors. The system introduces a steady stream of oxygen into the bottom of the tank and allows it to bubble up thru the waste water. Groco claims the addition of oxygen will discourage the anaerobic bacteria from thriving and eliminate odors. Does this make sense? Should I add some type of enzyme producing bacteria into the system also? Will the enzyme producing bacteria thrive in the oxygen rich enviroment?

Please see the "Holding tank chemicals" and other related threads. There's enough information there to keep you going for a L O N G time.

BTW, IMO, save your money. The system you're looking at makes zero sense to me.
