I have been wanting to try the tire pressure monitoring system and wanted to know if anyone out there has tried them. I am looking at L & S Solutions which uses tire valve caps with sensors which can be monitored inside the motor home. It can monitor your tow also. There are a number of these diferent brands on the market. Thanks for your reply.

I use the Pressure Pro system http://www.advantagepressurepro.com/ I have been using this system for just about a year. It works well and can be used in the toad when not used in the motor home.

Jim,

Your tires should be inflated to the correct psi for the weight they're carrying.

See the thread(s) already here on where/how to weigh your RV and then check your tire mfg.'s website to find the correct inflation pressure for the load.

Inflating your tires to the max. stated sidewall pressure can be very dangerous as that number could well be beyond the capacity of the wheel.

Mike what does this statement mean? I thought this was what we are supposed to do. And aren't the wheels built to withstand tires put on them?

John, the point is this by example: I put 12 ply Bridgestones on my motor home that has 125 lbs listed on the sidewalls. Inside the rims is stamped 90lbs max. I suppose those rims could handle 125 lbs for a short period of time but to exceed that 90 lbs would be a stupid thing for me to do.

By the way, how come three same-same postings?

I bought the Pressure Pro System and am very satisfied with it. I no longer have to worry about the tode ruining a tire and wheel. It also moniters all the coach tires.
