I purchased a Magellan Roadmate 700. It came with a windshield mount which works fine in my car. Does anyone have any suggestions on best way to mount this unit for use in motorhome? Using the current windshield mount puts the unit too far from driver's position.

Try

or

I have 3 different Garmin units. I have Ram mounts for my cars, truck, RV, ATV and Bicycle. The have just about any configuration you can think of.

I have Roadmate 700 also, and purchased an external antenna for it. Just stick the antenna on the windshield, via suction cups, and you can use the Roadmate anywhere you want.Take a look at the antenna on www.navsphere.com. Good luck.

Update - I bought the Magellen dash mount for my RoadMate 700 but found that it did not stay put on the dashboard. I solved the problem with Velcro tape - it now stays put and can be easily removed.
