Hi everyone,im new to the board and my friend passed this site on to me:)
I just (finally)upgraded to a travel trailer and im having a problem with the fridge staying on while im driving to our destination.Our pop up trailer's fridge would stay on no matter what,i understand that the TT fridge kicks out because its not level and the first hill we get to will kick it out.Im running the fridge off the battery while im pulling it and im just a phone call away to ask someone but i thought i would try here first.

Sorry for the delay in replying- there is a Dometic document which talks about this- if I can get my scanner working I will scan and post the bulletin- but it basically talks about putting a baffle inside the lower vent door- just blocking the lowest part of the door, and leaving the same amount of "free area" for air to get in, and experimenting with the roof vent- with a baffle right in front of it.
Another thing to check is the seal of the refrigerator itself to the cabinet on the inside- it needs to be sealed, and sometimes the very bottom isn't.

Chris - my refer also blows out when traveling. I checked the inside fit and found a small gap along the bottom and side of the flange - not enough to get a finger into, but some. So I better understand, could or does this allow air to flow outside to inside and blow out the flame? Thought I'd try filling it with some foam backer rod. I'd really like to see the document about the baffle too.

Jim- that gap could well be your problem- the installation instructions call for silicone along the bottom of models which do not have a trim strip.
As soon as I get a new scanner, I'll get the bulletin posted (unless I find it already scanned somewhaere ;)

An improvised baffle can be made from a small section of furnace fiberglass material and glued to the louvered area of the outside access panel.

I found a spider nest in the gas tube just befor the flame. I had a very small flame befor I blew it out with air. No problem now.
