For anyone who needs to know how to remove arm rests on FlexSteel seats, I communicated with and received a detailed diagram on how to do it from FlexSteel Inc.! Would be glad to send by email anyone needing a picture. In a word, you recline the seat back as far REARWARD as you can and push inward on the arm and down toward seat with front of armrest until armrest will come outward (toward you). Was informed that the downard tilt was NORMAL and manufactured that way.

Send your e-mail address to me at ijkark@wmconnect.com to receive the diagram.

Hmm, its always been simpler for me.

Push the armrest inwards, from the side of it push at the fulcrum point inwards, towards the middle of the seatback, and then rotate the armrest backwards, you'll feel a click when it finds the spot where it will come out.

I've fixed the downward tilt many times by taking the upholstery off the armrest, cutting open the foam to access the metal frame underneath and modifying as necesary to get the requested angle.
